Collisia contacts the professional or firm you choose using the information you authorize.

You Choose the Professional or Firm

You tell Collisia exactly which professional or firm you want contacted. The professional or firm you choose does not pay Collisia to receive or respond to your conflict-check request.

Collisia does not search for, recommend, rank, choose, or substitute professionals or firms.

You Authorize the Information

You authorize the information Collisia may send for the conflict check. Depending on the circumstances, this may include the prospective client’s name, relevant people, businesses or organizations, opposing or related parties, or a brief identifier for the matter.

Even if Collisia does not separately identify the prospective client, the information sent may reveal who the prospective client is. Collisia does not promise anonymity or that a professional or firm will complete a conflict check without knowing the prospective client’s identity.

Collisia Sends Your Request

Collisia sends the initial conflict-check request to the professional or firm you choose. You do not need to contact the professional or firm directly to begin the process.

The Professional or Firm Checks for Conflicts

The professional or firm performs its own conflict check using the information Collisia sends. It determines what information is needed and may request additional details or require the prospective client’s identity before completing its review. Collisia can continue the exchange with your authorization, while the professional or firm remains responsible for its own conflict determination.

You Receive the Responses or Outcome

The professional or firm may report no identified conflict, indicate that it cannot proceed, request more information, or provide an update. Collisia returns the text of the response or responses received when your request is complete. Automated acknowledgments, delivery notifications, and unrelated messages do not count as responses concerning the conflict check.

If no response concerning the conflict check is received, Collisia makes a first follow-up after two full business days and a second after two additional full business days. If no such response arrives within two further full business days, Collisia reports No Response Received. If the professional or firm responds but does not provide an expected further reply after the applicable follow-ups, Collisia reports Response Received — No Further Response.

Collisia does not determine whether a conflict exists. Neither status, by itself, establishes whether a conflict exists or whether the professional or firm can or will accept the matter.

You Decide What Happens Next

You decide whether to contact the professional or firm directly.

A response reporting no identified conflict does not mean the professional or firm is available, has accepted your matter, or has agreed to work with you. Collisia does not arrange consultations, negotiate terms, or help establish a professional relationship.
